Oak Hollow School Community Council (SCC)approved a budget of $89,346 LAND Trust funds for the 2019-2020 school year. We spent $88,791 on the above budget items. Due to school soft closure, we did use substitutes ($4,000) for professional development, but used these funds to purchase additional technology that was used in teachers’ classrooms.

It was determined that funding should be spent to increase academic achievement in Science and English Language Arts. Students were identified as performing below benchmark on Acadience testing for English Language Arts. These students received daily support from the interventionists ($63,000) using a district approved intervention program. Teachers supported students in the class with both whole group and small group instruction. We purchased MyOn software ($3,000) to be used in classes during skill-based groups to enhance comprehension. To further enhance English Language Arts with technology, we spent funds to purchase I-pads for K-2 and chromebooks for grades three -five ($11,346 + $4,000), which was the technology line item and the funding for substitutes.

We purchased Scholastic Science magazine for grades three- five and additional Science equipment for all grades ($8,000).

Oak Hollow SCC is grateful for the LAND Trust funds and the resources it provides for our students to be successful.
